Thanksgiving
With Thanksgiving now just a week away, we're spending some time talking about the first Thanksgiving... and you should be too!
My daughter enjoyed making these super simple pilgrims - just color, cut out, glue and display.
Here are a few Thanksgiving-related links that I've found handy:
- find a fun turkey craft here - http://belladia.typepad.com/crafty_crow/2008/11/handprint-turke.html
- find all kinds of Thanksgiving printables, book suggestions, clip art, crafts, and lapbook ideas here - http://www.squidoo.com/thanksgivinglapbook
- there is a great Pilgrims study here, that includes internet activites - http://www.oklahomahomeschool.com/pilgrimsunit.html
- and lastly, visit one of my favorite blogs here - http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/jaminacema - and see what one creative homeschooling mom has done with her kids to celebrate Thanksgiving this year as a homeschooling community (with pictures and links)
Tomorrow I'll share an annual tradition for keeping the THANKS in Thanksgiving. See you then!
